Positive: A friendly welcome and plenty of information with good communication made our stay here wonderful. The house is quiet, clean and full of character. With a friend joining us, we made full use of the excellent kitchen and lounge, plus the outdoor courtyard and used the town of Requena as our base to explore some truly gorgeous countryside. (Requena is a non-touristy town with many quirks. This means its more cost effective than other areas to stay. If you have a car and want an easy base where you can travel and enjoy sightseeing, I highly recommend you stay at Ca La Abuela)

Negative: A small thing, but we would have liked to have a kettle. The rest of the kitchen was well stocked but we had to boil water on the stove for tea, or use the microwave.

Positive: Very clean, comfortable and had almost everything. Beds extremely comfortable!! No noise around, quiet nights. Everything to survive 2-3 days was already there (coffee, sugar, cocoa powder..and toilettries).

Negative: Something was wrong with the heating system, there was no way to lower the temperature, so the heating was continuously on to a high temperature and it was rather hot.. but not so much of a problem. The rest was perfectly fine

Summary: Very pleasant and comfortable. Feeling like home for two days :)

Positive: The host Alvaro was so helpful and always available via WhatsApp if you had any questions. The moment you stepped through the door, you felt at home with the most beautifully decorated townhouse and a nicely chilled bottle of wine waiting for you. The house had all the facilities you could think of, the beds were so comfortable and the location couldn't have been better. So peaceful and quiet, and right in the centre of the old town, with amazing restaurants and wine tasting experiences only a minute away from the house. We are desperate to go back!
